Summer, water, music and smiles. We invite all girls to experience unforgettable summer camps – a mix of movement, elegance, team energy and the joy of water. The camps are suitable for beginners and advanced swimmers alike.

About the club
Swimming, gymnastics, dance and music in one
Synchronised swimming is more than a sport – it is elegance, strength and teamwork in one. The girls learn to control their body in the water, feel the music, cooperate and build mutual trust – values they will use not only in sport, but also in life.
Training takes place in Bratislava. Girls can start with us from the age of 5 – from complete beginners to athletes representing the club abroad.

Synchronised (artistic) swimming develops strength, flexibility, a feel for music and teamwork – and above all it brings children joy from the water.

Synchro Žralok has a team of experienced coaches who guide the girls across all age categories. With their knowledge, experience and individual approach they help the athletes progress and develop their talent. All groups train in Bratislava – in Devínska Nová Ves and Karlova Ves.

From what age can my daughter start?
We accept girls from the age of 5. Previous experience with swimming or dance is not required – all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new. Beginners are warmly welcome!
Does my daughter need to know how to swim?
She should at least be able to stay afloat and swim a few metres on her own in any style. Our coaches take an individual approach to each girl and step by step develop her swimming skills, movement abilities and synchronised swimming technique.
Where and when does training take place?
Training takes place in Bratislava: at the Plavecká Akadémia in Devínska Nová Ves, and at the Iuventa and Majerníkova pools in Karlova Ves. We'll confirm the schedule for your group at sign-up. Beginners usually train between 17:00 – 18:30.

What is synchronised (artistic) swimming?
Artistic swimming combines swimming, gymnastics, dance and music into one beautiful competitive sport. The girls train compulsory figures, solos, duets and various choreographies. This sport develops strength, flexibility, rhythm and teamwork.
Which age categories do you compete in?
We compete in the U8 (under 8), U10 (under 10), U12 (under 12) and U15 (under 15) categories. Each category has its own programme and competitive disciplines.
Which competitions does the club take part in?
Our athletes regularly represent the club at home and at international competitions. During the season we take part in events in Slovakia and abroad, mainly in the Czech Republic, Hungary and other European countries. Our activities also include training camps and trips abroad, which give the girls valuable sporting and life experiences.
What is the synchronised swimming summer camp?
The annual summer camp takes place in July–August at the Plavecká Akadémia in Devínska. It is intended for girls aged 5–12, including absolute beginners. Programme: 5 days, Mon–Fri 8:00–16:30, training in and out of the water, various creative and playful activities, new friends. Price: €189 / session.
Can my daughter come just for the summer camp without committing to join the club?
Yes! The summer camps are open to everyone – including those who just want to try synchronised swimming during the holidays without a long-term commitment. The camp is a great way to find out whether your daughter enjoys the sport.
Does the club receive any public funding?
Yes – in 2025 we received support from the Fund for the Future of Sport, which helps us further develop the club and improve conditions for the girls.
